In 2005 the USPS released a research piece entitled "Mail and the Internet: One smart media pair". The piece is talks about utilizing direct mail to drive consumer traffic to their business website. Here we are six years later, and I think this message is even more relevant now, than when it was when first written!

Direct Mail used in tandem with your Website (and SEO) offers prospects the ability to contact you immediately, or research your business at their pace...and at their convenience.
